Description of Capstone Project
Packaging design has always been limited to the confines of the physical package. With augmented reality (AR) software becoming increasingly accessible, companies can now integrate digital content into their printed materials. AR technology allows users to see virtual elements appear in their real environment by scanning printed materials with a smartphone or tablet application: bringing flat images to life. Think Harry Potter! To prove the viability of AR in fashion packaging I am integrating scannable content into existing packaging materials. This will demonstrate how AR adds value to a customer’s purchase and enhances their brand experience.
