About the Collection
Bonnie Yang’s thesis collection combines sculptural shapes of neoprene with the organic textures of soft calf leather, coyote fur and silk rib knit. It uses classic luxury fabrics with a modern interpretation. By strategically layering each garment and having asymmetrical looks, it allows the wearer to discover something new with each wear. The collection does not neglect any pieces, even bottom layers, as each garment is designed with care. There are body hugging dresses under large voluminous coats and hidden pockets in mind-bending folded overalls. This collection is created as a petite womenswear contemporary collection aimed towards minimalistic women with a fashion forward style.
