About the Collection
NEW BEGINNING explores the new Spring/Summer 2016 bridal wear collection. The theme name “NEW BEGINNING” embarks into another chapter in one’s life, as the collection itself symbolizes the celebration of the status as a new bride. The symbolic meaning of the white wedding dress indicates the purity of a bride as she comes to accept a new covenant with her significant other. For this collection, the inspiration is heavily drawn from the history in Ancient China and from other oriental cultures and traditions. The intricate details of the head dresses and jewelry in the Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the high slit dresses, also known as Ao Dao, which originated in Vietnam are the few main influences on these wedding dresses. There is a sense of history crafted behind each gown which marks a new and refreshing beauty in each design.
