About the Collection
The dimitardangov collection is a menswear high-end contemporary label. The Autumn/Winter 2016/2017 season has a focus on outerwear that questions the proportion and function of menswear. Each look carries some sort of outerwear; the first look has a traditional coat shape, however the closure on the coat is mirrored in the back to create a double entry that’s held together by a red strap. The second look has multiple straps that attach to the turtleneck and act as a coat on the body. The fourth look has a cropped wool coat that cuts above the waist, the back of the coat experiments with slashing as a form of deconstruction. The pants in this season vary in silhouette from wide legged trousers with non-traditional pocket placements; to slim jeans with distressing hidden on the back panel and knit trousers with cropped inseams. Each look includes a wool turtleneck with snaps attached at the chest and back, here the wearer can add in other garments or elements allowing all the garments to be reshaped and interconnected.
