About the Collection
Lapse/Relapse is a high-end unisex contemporary fashion collection intended for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. The designs explore both two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. The garments are meant to represent the shapes that it is based on, either when they are flatten for two-dimensional or draped on its intended three-dimensional block. The collection name, Lapse/Relapse, stems from the idea of the garments’ competence to falling back to its former state. The shape of the garments shifts between when the garment is draped on a block or flatten, and when if falls and collapses on the human body. This collection tears apart the design boundary between traditional menswear and womenswear, and between avant-garde fashion and ready-to-wear.
