Description of Capstone Project
For my capstone project, I am creating a baby-clothes brand inspired by Danish design and innovation. My brand (working on title)/company has a closed-loop production cycle, where all organic and ethical items of clothing made are returned to the company once they are used. They are then professionally laundered and sent out again to a new family. I am creating a baby’s brand that is unisex, sustainable and very convenient for current and expecting parents. In order to build the brand’s image, I will be creating a logo, a collection of baby’s clothes, a website (may be a mock-up, may be working, depending on time allocations) and a lookbook including the designs and the style-guide in use. I am aiming to resolve part of the problem of over-consumption in the garment industry (specifically the baby clothes industry) by reducing consumption and waste associated with the fast-pace world that is North America.
